Pet Surgery
Our veterinarians go above and beyond to ensure your pet receives the best treatment. Before surgery, we do a physical examination and pre-anesthetic testing, monitor your pet during surgery and offer medication as needed to keep your pet comfortable.
Pet Surgery
A pre-anesthetic blood test is encouraged and, in some situations, required. This allows us to anticipate future issues and plan accordingly. One of our veterinarians will create a specific anesthetic protocol for your pet, allowing us to give enough pain management and the easiest recovery possible. While your pet’s sedated, they will be monitored on a cutting-edge multi-parameter system. This monitors their heart and respiratory rates, as well as their end-tidal CO2, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and temperature. They are also being continuously monitored by the doctor and a member of our highly experienced veterinary staff.
Because we prioritize their comfort, pets having surgical procedures will be given pain medication at the time of surgery. Oral pain medication will be sent home depending on the invasiveness of specific operations.
